Dr. Kelly Colbert, DC, MS was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, where her love for movement, competition, and connection took root early. A lifelong athlete, she competed in cheerleading from elementary school through college, also running track and playing volleyball along the way. Dr. Kelly went on to cheer at Texas State University in San Marcos, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science.
A self-proclaimed “dog whisperer,” Dr. Kelly is an avid animal lover. She and her fiancé—her high school sweetheart—share their home with three beloved pups: Oliver, Luna, and Duke. After several years in Austin, they made the leap to Dallas so Dr. Kelly could pursue her dream of becoming a chiropractor. Dr. Kelly’s journey into chiropractic began after a cheer-related injury in high school. Experiencing firsthand how chiropractic care helped her recover and stay in the sport she loved planted the seed for what would become a lifelong passion. Her experience coaching youth athletes and working closely with adolescent performers further deepened her desire to support people through movement, recovery, and whole-body wellness. She earned both her Doctorate of Chiropractic and her Master’s in Strength and Human Performance from Parker University. While her initial focus was on adolescent athletes, Dr. Kelly’s passion has expanded to include working with families. She loves treating the entire family- moms and dads, mothers-to-be, and babies. She is Webster Certified through the ICPA and has advanced training in craniosacral therapy, which she thoughtfully integrates into care to support optimal function and ease throughout the body. Dr. Kelly’s work is guided by intuition, intention, and integrity. She is deeply committed to helping people feel safe in their bodies, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and feel empowered in their healing process. Her approach goes beyond the adjustment—it’s about creating a space where individuals feel seen, supported, and capable of thriving. Whether she’s working with a newborn, a teen athlete, or a growing family, Dr. Kelly brings her whole heart to every encounter. She considers it a true honor to walk alongside her patients as they move toward deeper connection, comfort, and vitality. |
“The sickness business is reactive. Despite its enormous size, people become customers only when they are stricken by and react to a specific condition or complaint…the wellness business is proactive. People voluntarily become customers — to feel healthier, to reduce the effects of aging, and to avoid becoming customers of the sickness business. Everyone wants to be a customer of this earlier-stage approach to health.”
